He was the horse that time forgot. He was bred for all, then all of naught
They forgot, he did more than trot. He was the horse that time forgot.
He was the horse that made his master proud. His looks, his beauty screamed out loud.
His gaits, his flash drew the crowd. So this purpose was only allowed.
They didn't remember he could jump and run. Go all day and still have fun.
His attributes forgotten, all but one, He became a flash in a pan, then known to none.
Slowly and surely, his will at large brings back his beauty in the world of dressage.
Don't tell him he can't jump, event or drive. His heart is still there, very much alive.
It's not him that's lost, it's us you see. He's been trying to tell us where he should be.
Doing what he was bred for, and that's everything gracefully. Taking hold of your heart and being part of your family.

The MA/RI Saddlebred Association attended Equine Affaire in West Springfield, MA, in November of 2005. Of the three Equine Affaires this is the largest.
The booth was busy for the four full days with members talking "Saddlebreds". Two new ASB posters held their respective debut along with a Limited Edition painting by Geri DeSousa. Our Breed Demo was held on Sunday with eight riders showing the Versatility of the American Saddlebred.
Special thanks to trainer Peter Axtell and Danielle Benson for traveling from upstate New York to ride their beautiful Saddlebreds CH Kingwood Supreme and Galahads Fancy That in our Breed Demo. Another thank you to Sandy Rabinowitz and Sequoia, Al Parrillo and Holly Akala Banner for helping to teach the children about the American Saddlebred.
Without the support of our members and friends of the American Saddlebred this just would not be possible. - Marge Mullen,President
